Game 2 between the Braves and Phillies, which was rained out on Wednesday, will be played on Thursday, but the original game scheduled for Thursday will remain at its original time.
The later game is undoubtedly the more attractive of the two. Game 2 seems to give the Phillies a better edge in the pitching duel with Sanchez, but Game 3 is a head-to-head matchup between Sale of the Braves, the reigning Cy Young Award winner with a 3.36 ERA in 2025 after his slow start, against Wheeler of the Phillies, who is competing head-to-head with Skenes and Yamamoto for this year's Cy Young Award with a 6-1 record and a 2.42 ERA.
The Phillies have emerged victorious in Wheeler's last five outings, and the right-hander has maintained an ERA as low as 1.08 in that span. His team also came out heavily favored in his betting odds on each occasion, but that won't be the case Thursday. In fact, Wheeler's worst outing this season came against the Braves, who allowed five earned runs and a home run.
