Miami took game 2 of the 3-game series yesterday 5-1. This was after they took an 8-1 beating by the Braves on Friday. Max Meyer picked up his 2nd win Saturday. He 6 innings while allowing just 1 run and striking out 6 and walking no one. Bryan De La Cruz went 2-4 with 3 RBIs in the win. The Marlins knocked around veteran Chris Sale for 5 runs in 7 innings of work. For Sunday, the Braves are going with Charlie Morton who is 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA. Jesus Luzardo will go for the Marlins and bring his 0-2 record and 7.20 ERA with him. The Braves are 1st in the league in runs and hits while the Marlins are near the bottom of the league in both. Each team is allowing over 5 runs per game to their opponents but Atlanta has been able to start 8-5 because of their strong offense. The Marlins are now 3-12 and have most of their losses due to their lack of offense. Orlando Arcia has been a big boost for the Braves with 7 doubles and a .383 avg. Shortstop, Tim Anderson for the Marlins has been hitting a solid .280.

Morton should give them an advantage on the mound due to the struggles of Luzardo who is coming off a 7-run game and 5 walks against the New York Yankees. The Braves offense is likely to be able to overwhelm Luzardo and lead the way to the win here.
