Atalanta and AS Roma will lock horns on Monday night in a Serie A matchup at the Gewiss Stadium. Atalanta are incredible this season, sitting in third spot with 68 points from 35 matches. Mathematically, they can leapfrog Inter Milan in the second spot, with the Milan-based club only six points ahead. However, they’ll be more worried about the chasing group, with only five points separating them from the fifth-placed Lazio.
Roma, meanwhile, is among the teams fighting for a Champions League qualification spot. They are fifth with 63 points, similar to the fourth-placed Juventus, who have a better goal difference. Claudio Ranieri’s side is riding on a three-game winning run without conceding a goal in those matches. However, they must score more goals on Monday to defeat the attack-minded Atalanta.
