Current world number one and three-time Grand Slam winner Sabalenka takes on a player who has dominated the French Open in recent years, winning each of the last three renewals, claiming five Grand Slam titles overall. In other words, it's a shame that this isn't the final as it really is a clash between two of unbelievably good players. 

For Aryna Sabalenka, it's all about achieving something that she hasn't already. She's twice reached the semis at Roland Garros, but the Belarusian player has never made the final. She's having a stellar campaign, while she's up against an Iga Swiatek who isn't having the best year of her career, so is this an opportunity? The Polish player has dropped in the rankings, but she's reminded everyone why she's the defending Roland Garros champion this week, so I really wouldn't write her off here. A tense battle awaits, and we could be looking at a match for the ages.
