Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus will walk into Sunday’s fourth-round showdown with upset-minded Cristina Bucsa of Spain as a hands-down favorite at -2000.

Sabalenka, the defending US Open champion, cruises to the fourth round of this year’s tournament in Flushing Meadows after ousting her first three opponents in straight sets. Her victories might not be as emphatic as what people expected from her, but Sabalenka did just enough to dispose Rebeka Masarova 7-5 6-1, Polina Kudermetova 7-6(4) 6-2 and former US Open runner-up Leylah Annie Fernandez 6-3 7-6(2).
Bucsa is one of the surprise entrants in the fourth round of the women’s singles tournament at the US Open. Despite a forgettable US Open buildup, the Spaniard catches fire at the right place and at the right time, beating Claire Liu 6-2 6-1, Alexandra Eala 6-4 6-3 and two-time US Open quarterfinalist Elise Mertens 3-6 7-5 6-3.
