Arsenal host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Wednesday night, in a game that could virtually seal the home side's Champions League qualification for next season. Both sides are still in the running for silverware this season, with Palace facing Aston Villa in an FA Cup semi final on Saturday and Arsenal taking on PSG over two legs in the last four of the Champions League.
Despite falling to mount a sustained challenge to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, it has been another very strong season for the Gunners. Last week's 5-1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid was arguably one of the best results in the club's history, and Sunday's 4-0 thrashing of Ipswich means they are now unbeaten in 11 games. Palace have been far less impressive in recent weeks, suffering back-to-back thrashings at the hands of Newcastle and Manchester City, before playing out a drab 0-0 at home to Bournemouth. However, it has been another largely satisfactory season for Palace and they remain on course for their fourth consecutive Premier League top 12 finish.
