Game 2 of the series between the Brewers, the team with the best record in MLB, and the Diamondbacks, being played in Milwaukee, followed the same high-hitting script as Game 1. The Brewers won Monday's game 7-5, thanks to a five-run third inning in which they surprisingly didn't hit extra bases. On Tuesday, the Brew Crew once again produced a five-run third inning, with Contreras contributing his 15th home run of the season.

Just like on Monday, the D-backs' always-tough lineup fought back and rallied; despite Misiorowski, the Brewers' sensational rookie pitcher, striking out 10, Arizona managed to score three runs. When the rookie came off and the Milwaukee bullpen came on, the D-backs put together three runs in the seventh inning thanks to Carroll's 25th double. The game then reached 8-8 in the top of the ninth. Pat Murphy brought in Shelby Miller to get a scoreless ninth inning for the Brewers, and he did it. Then, the walk-off experts did it again. Isaac Collins, via a sac fly, brought in the winning run, making the final score 9-8 in favor of the Brewers.

Betting-wise, the Brewers remain one of the most profitable teams to bet on; this has also happened in previous years.

To win the World Series, the Brewers, with their best record in the MLB, moved up to the third favorite among sportsbooks.
