Amanda Anisimova of the United States shoots for a back-to-back Grand Slam quarterfinals appearance on Monday when she goes head-to-head with Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil in the fourth round of the 2025 US Open.
Anisimova, the 2025 Wimbledon Open runner-up, is a -380 favorite in this fourth-round clash.
Current Form:
Despite not having a desirable build-up for the US Open, Anisimova still reached the fourth round in Flushing Meadows after topping three solid opponents from her side of the bracket. Anisimova ousted a couple of Australians in the earlier rounds, beating Kim Birrell 6-3 6-2 and Maya Joint 7-6(2) 6-2, before staving off an upset attempt from Jaqueline Cristian in the third round 6-4 4-6 6-2. Anisimova is 16-7 on the hard court in 2025.
Maia surpassed the modest expectation for her at the US Open by reaching the round of 16. Before racking up three straight wins in Flushing Meadows, Maia had dropped four consecutive matches, failing to win even one of his opening matches in Washington, Montreal, and Cincinnati. However, Maia’s fortune changed for the better after beating Sonay Kartal 6-3 1-6 6-1, ending her losing slump. Maia followed it up with emphatic wins over Viktorija Golubic 6-1 6-4 and Maria Sakkari 6-1 6-2.

Our Amanda Anisimova vs Beatriz Haddad Maia Prediction
Fearless Forecast: Beatriz Haddad Maia pushes Amanda Anisimova to the limit
Take Maia to win at least one set against Anisimova. Maia has the momentum right now after two big wins against Golubic and Sakkari. She also has an impressive 12-15 record against the world’s top-10, though she’s only 1-10 this year. Honesty, I would have gone all the way with Maia if didn’t have a bad year. But since 2025 has been unforgiving to her and Anisimova finally breaking out in a Grand Slam following final appearance in Wimbledon, picking Maia +1.5 sets (-110) seems to be the best move.
Our betting prediction for Beatriz Haddad Maia vs. Amanda Anisimova: Beatriz Haddad Maia +1.5 Sets
