by Lou Aguila in ATP French Open Picks
A rematch of the highly controversial Australian Open semifinals earlier this year, Novak Djokovic of Serbia will battle Alexander Zverev of Germany for a spot in the final four of the 2025 French Open.
Djokovic returned to the final eight stage of the French Open after besting Cameron Norrie for the second time in almost two weeks, 6-2 6-3 6-2. Djokovic, who began the clay-court season with two massive opening match losses in Monte Carlo and Madrid, has now extended his winning streak 8 matches and also earned his 100th victory at Roland Garros.
Zverev also punched his return ticket to the quarterfinal of the clay-court Grand Slam with a 6-4 3-0 ret. win over Tallon Griekspoor. After a rocky French Open buildup, Zverev once again proved he can thrive in a Grand Slam setting, dropping only one set on his way to the quarterfinals.Limited Offer. Currently at Caesars Sportsbook

Our Alexander Zverev vs Novak Djokovic Prediction
Why you should bet on the OVER 42.5 Games (Win $110 on a $100 Bet): This is going to be a hotly-contested match between two elite players: Zverev and Djokovic. Their last run-in resulted in a controversial retirement by Djokovic, who appeared to have been bothered by a hamstring injury in the semis of the 2025 French Open. Still, the first set of the match was decided in a tiebreaker won by Zverev. Both players are riding some momentum ahead of their quarterfinal clash, so we can expect high-level tennis from start to finish. Djokovic has held 91 percent of his serves, while Zverev has scored at a 91 percent rate on his service. It only means it will be hard to break each other’s serves, setting the stage for another marathon showdown.
