Alexander Zverev of Germany will tussle with Ben Shelton of the United States in a rematch of this year’s Hamburg Open final in Saturday’s semifinal round at the 2025 Boss Stuttgart Open.
Zverev outlasted Brandon Nakashima of the United States 7-5 6-4 in an entertaining quarterfinal clash on Friday. Shelton booked his first grass-court semifinal after besting Jiri Lehecka in a competitive two-set slugfest 6-4 6-4. Shelton’s overpowering service game was on full display on Friday as the American fired 18 aces and won 28 points off his first serves to power past Lehecka. Shelton also improved his grass-court record to 8-7.
