Alexander Bublik vs Quentin Halys Prediction & Picks - ATP Kitzbuhel Open

On Saturday, at the ATP event in Kitzbuhel, Austria, both Alexander Bublik and Quentin Halys will experience déjà vu. Having never previously faced each other, the pair are now meeting for the second time in a week, facing off in Gstaad last week, when Halys upset the odds to defeat the higher-ranked Bublik, winning in three sets. In Gstaad, the French player exited in the quarters, so even if he goes out here, he's gone one better this time around. Whether he makes the final or not, for a player ranked 83rd in the world, reaching a quarter final and then a semi final in consecutive weeks at the top level is an impressive achievement. 

Despite losing when the pair faced off in Gstaad a week ago, Bublik comes into this match as quite a strong favorite. The question is does he warrant such strong favoritism? The answer, quite simply, is no. Halys had played just as well as Bublik this week, winning four out of four matches in straight sets, and he clearly has his clay-court game in fine order, so much so that he's well worth betting on to avoid, at least, avoid a straight-set defeat at generous odds.
