In this first round of the Masters 1000 in Miami, the American and local Aleksandar Kovacevic faces the Hungarian Fabian Marozsan. Aleksandar Kovacevic entered this Miami tournament through qualifying. He indeed won his first match against the 140th in the world, Patrick Kypson in a tight match in the second set with a score of 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). He then achieved the same score in his second match against world number 114 Zizou Bergs. Two victories which allowed him to reach this first round and which must have done good to the American who had two consecutive defeats. He had in fact not made it past the first round at the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells at the beginning of March, having been stopped by world number 49 Zhizhen Zhang. For his part, Fabian Marozsan had a very good performance at the Indian Wells tournament a few days ago. He actually won 3 consecutive victories during his first 3 rounds, starting with his victory against the Austrian Jurij Rodionov in just 2 sets and 66 minutes. The Hungarian then created a surprise in the second round by beating world number 23 Nicolas Jarry, then Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild in the round of 16. Although he was stopped in the round of 16 by world number 2 Carlos Alcaraz, Fabian Marozsan should arrive more confident than his opponent in this match since it seems that the Masters 1000 is going much better for him.Limited Offer.
