Napoli's 100% Serie A record faces a seriously tough test on Sunday evening, as they visit the San Siro to take on an AC Milan side currently enjoying a three game winning run.
Remarkably, Napoli are on a 15 match unbeaten run in Serie A, a record that goes all the way back to early March. However, Antonio Conte's side did come unstuck in the Champions League last week, falling to a 2-0 defeat at Manchester City.
Milan have bounced back superbly from their shock opening day defeat at home to Cremonese, recording three wins on the spin to move up to third in the early season standings. After a dismal 2024/2025 campaign that saw them miss out on a place in Europe, the early signs are encouraging for Max Allegri's side as they attempt to mount a serious top four challenge.

AC Milan - Napoli: Form Analysis
Milan are on a four game winning run, thanks to Serie A victories over Lecce, Bologna and Udinese, plus a comfortable 3-0 win over Lecce in the Coppa Italia.
That excellent run of results has largely been down to a rock solid backline that has now gone over 360 minutes without conceding a goal. At the other end of the field, US forward Christian Pulisic enjoyed a fine start to the campaign, notching up three goals in his first four appearances.
Napoli in the groove
Napoli came close to losing their 100% record last week, but a late goal from Lorenzo Lucca helped them edge out a resilient Pisa team.
Before that, the Serie A champions had been in imperious form during comfortable victories over Sassuolo, Fiorentina and Cagliari. If Conte's side can maintain their current level of performance, they will have every chance of winning their third Scudetto in four seasons.

The big news coming out of the AC Milan camp this week is that exciting winger Rafael Leao has returned to full training is expected to be available on Sunday.

Injury problems increasing for Napoli
Alessandro Buongiorno is the latest name on the Napoli injury list. The big center half suffered a muscle injury last week and is expected to miss at least three games.
With Romelu Lukaku (thigh) and Pasquale Mazzocchi (muscle) also on the sidelines, Napoli boss Antonio Conte will be keen for his side not to pick up any more injuries ahead of a brutal run of fixtures.
