Watch Out for These Premier League Newcomers
The English Premier League off-season is always busy in terms of transfers, with lots of comings and goings across most of the top-tier clubs. Ahead of the new campaign, lots of business has been done, with some big-name players exiting the league, such as Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella, who’ve both ventured to Real Madrid. Djed Spence is another notable outgoing player, with the England international heading to Inter Milan.
Keep an eye on these EPL newcomers
As well as some high-profile departures, there’s also been some eye-catching deals struck by Premier League clubs. See below for a selection of new EPL players to watch out for.
Christos Tzolis
Position: Forward/Winger
Age: 24
Leaving: Club Brugge
Joining: Arsenal
The 2025/26 title winners have spent the off-season refreshing their squad, and one of the newbies tasked with helping the Gunners defend their crown is Christos Tzolis.
The versatile speedster, who can play in a variety of forward areas, arrives in North London off the back of a show-stopping season in Belgium, where he helped Club Brugge to a league title, scoring 17 goals. More impressive still is the fact that the Greek forward produced 23 assists as his team thrived. Last season, no Belgian Pro League player registered more goals and assists than Tzolis, who averaged 1.17 per 90 minutes. Arsenal fans will be hoping for more of the same.
Johan Manzambi
Position: Central Midfielder
Age: 20
Leaving: Freiburg
Joining: Aston Villa
A key player for Switzerland at the recent World Cup, Johan Manzambi leaves behind Freiburg and joins Aston Villa, where he’ll be looking to fill the rather sizable shoes left by Youri Tielemans.
Manzambi delivered some stunning performances in the US over the summer, scoring and assisting five goals in four appearances for his nation. He was also a central figure in Freiburg’s push to the final of the UEFA Europa League last term. Physically dominant, direct and strong in possession, the 20-year-old is an all-action midfielder with an eye for goal. Expect him to be a hit in the Premier League.
Daizen Maeda

Position: Forward
Age: 28
Leaving: Celtic
Joining: Ipswich
One of the best players in the Scottish Premier League over the last few years, Daizen Maeda will now get a chance to show that he’s capable of cutting it at EPL level.
The Japanese forward, who is known for his tireless work ethic, will give a newly promoted Ipswich team plenty of bite in the forward areas, but can he deliver enough goals and assists? If he can reproduce the quality that saw him deliver 46 goals and assists for Celtic across the last two seasons, then fans of the Tractor Boys will certainly be happy.
Tarek Muharemovic
Position: Central Defender
Age: 23
Leaving: Sassuolo
Joining: Leeds United
Tarek Muharemovic has swapped Northern Italy for Northern England, leaving Sassuolo and joining Leeds, where the Bosnian will be hoping to nail down a spot in central defense.
A threat at offensive set pieces, the combative defender, who is adept at playing with the ball at his feet, has much of the aggression and tenacity associated with Leeds United, so the youngster should fit in well at Elland Road. In Serie A last season, he ranked very highly for interceptions.
Victor Munoz
Position: Forward/Winger
Age: 23
Leaving: Osasuna
Joining: Liverpool
Perhaps not the high-profile offensive signing that many Liverpool fans were craving, Victor Munoz arrives at Anfield as a raw talent with bags of potential.
The 23-year-old, who is capable of playing as both a central forward or as a winger, has pace to burn, while he has a serious engine on him, which means he can play at a high intensity for long periods. One of Osasuna’s best players last season, scoring and assisting eight goals, Munoz has all the attributes to be an offensive hit for the Reds, especially on the break in games against the bigger teams.
Bazoumana Toure
Position: Winger
Age: 20
Leaving: Hoffenheim
Joining: Newcastle United
Newcastle United fans have been no strangers to seeing pacey wingers impress at St. James’ Park in recent seasons. They’ve got another to feast their eyes on after Bazoumana Toure completed his switch from Hoffenheim.
Quick and direct, Toure is at his best when beating his man as a left winger, before either shooting or delivering for a colleague. After showing flashes of brilliance when making a handful of cameo appearances during the 2024/25 season, the Ivorian nailed down a regular Bundesliga spot last term, producing five goals and nine assists, averaging a chunky 0.55 goals and assists per 90 minutes. The task now is to repeat those numbers in the Premier League.
