MLS Western Conference leaders San Diego can extend their lead at the top of the table if they can defeat lowly Toronto at Snapdragon Stadium on Wednesday night. Two first half goals from forward Anders Dreyer gave San Diego a valuable 2-1 victory at Chicago last time out, a result that moved them two points clear of Minnesota at the top of the Conference standings.
As for Toronto, their postseason hopes look dead in the water following a dreadful run of results that has seen them win just one of their last seven matches. Sunday's 1-1 draw at home to Atlanta United means Robin Fraser's side have recorded just four wins all season, and are more than ten points outside the play off places with fixtures rapidly running out.
