On Sunday evening, it's do or die for San Diego FC and the Portland Timbers, who will clash in game three of this play-off series. Whoever comes out on top will advance and will still have MLS Cup glory in their sights. Whoever fails will be out of action until the new season. After two hard-fought games, it really could go either way.
Of course, in front of their own fans, the San Diego boys will surely fancy themselves to get over the line, and they did recently beat the Timbers on home soil, winning with more in hand than the bare result suggested. To be honest, when the Timbers visited Snapdragon Stadium just over a week ago, they were massively outplayed, which doesn't exactly suggest that Phil Neville's men will be going through here. Then again, as we know, the postseason pressure can do strange things to even the best of teams.

To be honest, if Lionel Messi wasn't currently working his magic in this league, I'd say that Anders Dreyer was the best player in Major League Soccer, such has been the quality of San Diego's destructive Dane, who really has been impossible to stop at times this season. Against a Timbers team that looks weak at the back, Dreyer can once again have a big say.
