On Thursday, during the afternoon for stateside viewers, the UEFA Europa League will be back on our screens. Taking place in the Italian capital of Rome, there's an intriguing fixture between Roma and Plzen. The Czech visitors have what must definitely be described as an uphill task, but it may just be a hill that they're capable of climbing. They're so far unbeaten on the continent this season, most recently beating Swedish side Malmo in confident fashion. Such an effort may well act as a platform from which to build.
The hosts may not be feeling too confident ahead of this game, which they really need to win having lost to Inter at the weekend, picking up their second defeat in three matches. When Gian Piero Gasperini's men were last in action in the Europa League, they lost to French outfit Lille, leaving them in 15th place in the League Phase table, one point behind their visitors here.
