Ranger Suarez went 7 2/3 innings for the Phillies, giving up four hits and two walks while striking out seven. However, one of his four hits was a solo shot by Cooper Hummel for the only run of the game. Houston’s lineup will get tested against Phillies starter Zack Wheeler today. Wheeler is 7-2 with a 2.61 ERA and a .91 WHIP. In his last eight starts, he recorded four shutouts and gave up ten runs, six in his May 29 start vs. Atlanta. He’s been tough on the road, going 3-1 in seven starts with a 2.86 ERA and .201 OBA.
Colton Gordon will get the start for the Astros. Gordon is 2-1 in seven starts with a 4.54 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. However, he has struggled somewhat when pitching at home. Through four home starts, he has a 2-1 record with a 5.31 ERA and .294 OBA.
