After Ronald Acuña's incredible performance in Game 1 of the Braves-Yankees series, where in addition to an epic shot from right field to third, the Venezuelan also hit a triple and the Braves won 7-3, the Yankees earned an absolutely crucial victory in Game 2 of the series, winning 12-9.
The Yankees took the game they had also started as slight favorites in the betting world, and anyone who had their money on the Yankees must have written it off when the Braves led 5-0 in the 4th inning. However, the Yankees rallied thanks to a key home run by Volpe, who hit two in the game, and a grand slam by Grisham in the 9th inning that turned the score around.
Ultimately, Yankees closer Luke Weaver, getting five scoreless outs, did what Braves closer Raisel Iglesias couldn't, earning his sixth RBI of the season by allowing Grisham's grand slam.
