The win was the third in a row for the Mets and improved their record to 67-58, 5.5 games back of the Phillies in the NL East and a game up on the Reds for the last wild card spot in the NL. Kodai Senga is scheduled to get the start for the Mets. He has gone 7-4 in 19 starts with a 2.35 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and .207 OBA. He has been strong on the road this year, going 2-3 in nine starts with a 2.19 ERA and .197 OBA. As for the Nationals, they’ll give the ball to Brad Lord to start the day. Used primarily as a reliever this year, he’s been in 40 games but started 11 and has a 3-6 record with a 3.26 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and .243 OBA. He’s gone 0-3 at home in six starts (20 appearances) with an OBA of .264.
