Mirra Andreeva of Russia will try to become the first teenager to reach the semifinal of the French Open for two consecutive years on Wednesday as she takes on the upset-minded Lois Boisson of France.
Andreeva, the first teenager to win two consecutive WTA 1000 titles, has sustained her fine play at the French Open as she became the first teenager to reach back-to-back quarterfinals in the clay-court Grand Slam for nearly three decades following a 6-3 7-5 win over Daria Kasatkina of Australia. Andreeva yielded only 2 breakpoints and dominated Kasatkina the rest of the way, winning 35 points off her first serves and breaking 4 times.
Boisson also made her own piece of history on Monday after she became the lowest-ranked player since the No. 418-ranked Kia Kanepi to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam stage. The 361st ranked Boisson has eliminated Elise Mertens 6-4 4-6 6-3, Anhelina Kalinina 6-1 6-2, Elsa Jacquemot 6-3 0-6 7-5 and world’s No.3 Jessica Pegula 3-6 6-4 6-4 in one of the most surprising campaigns at Roland Garros.

Our Mirra Andreeva vs Lois Boisson Prediction
Why you should bet on Mirra Andreeva to cover -6.5 games (Win $130 on a $100 Bet): Andreeva is a student of the game. We know she and her team will dissect Boisson’s playing style and tendencies and come up with the perfect game plan to stop her giant-killing run at the French Open. I feel that Andreeva is playing beyond her years, and she understands that focusing on the little details will take her far in this sport. Boisson has become a dangerous opponent for anyone in this draw following a string of upsets that have just added world No.3 Jessica Pegula. Boisson is feeding off the energy from the French crowd, and she has harnessed their support to the fullest, taking her to a position she had only dreamt of before. Boisson deserves a ton of credit for getting this deep at Roland Garros. However, I believe this year’s French Open is the official welcome party for Andreeva as the next big star in tennis.
