Jason Adam is the most reliable reliever after Suarez, an absolute lock, in the Padres' bullpen. His pitching a scoreless inning and striking out two was instrumental in winning the game. The 33-year-old right-hander earned the W in the Padres' 6-4 victory over the Angels at Petco Park. With this, Adam reached his fourth win and did what Janses couldn't for the Angels. Jansen allowed two earned runs on a walkoff homer by Tatis, which gave the Padres the victory.
Petco Park erupted with the Dominican's ninth homer of the season, who stood watching from home plate as it landed deep in the San Diego night between center and left field.
