Emma Raducanu of Great Britain will try to book a spot in the semifinal of the 2025 Washington Open against a resurging Maria Sakkari on Friday in Washington D.C.

Sakkari also salvaged a huge win on Wednesday by sweeping Emma Navarro 7-5 7-6(1) . The Greek exhibited terrific shot-making and composure to withstand the former WTA top-10 player in two nail-biting sets. Sakkari won all her serves behind 36 first-serve points and seven aces. Sakkari raised her 2025 record to 18-20, including 7-10 in hard-court matches.
