Casper Ruud of Norway will slug it out with Denis Shapovalov of Canada on Saturday for the right to play in the championship match of the 2025 Nordic Open – Stockholm.
Ruud is the favorite in this semifinal affair at -172 moneyline, but Shapovalov is an enticing underdog here at +140 since he defeated the Norwegian in the final of the Dallas Open in February.

Ruud overcame a first-set collapse to beat Sebastian Korda of the United States in a competitive three-set showpiece on Friday, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4. The No.2 seed found a way to hack out the win by winning 79 percent of his first serves and firing 11 aces to win all except one of his 11 service games. Ruud also secured three breakpoint conversions, including a crucial break in the third set that allowed him to blow by Korda. Ruud is 9-1 in indoor matches in 2025.
Shapovalov punched his ticket to the semifinal round by staving off a serious upset bid from wild card Elias Ymer 6-4, 7-6, 6-1 in the quarterfinals. The Canadian would have wrapped up the match in two sets but he fumbled on a 5-3 lead, allowing Ymer to force a decider. Despite the hiccup, Shapovalov closed out the match by securing a double break in the third set. Shapovalov is now 7-0 in indoor matches in 2025.
