The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup competition will end when PSG and Chelsea clash in the finals on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. It has been an incredible campaign for PSG in the 2024/25 season. The French side won their record-extending 13th League 1 title with six games to spare without a loss. PSG also defeated Inter Milan 5-0 in the UEFA Champions League Finals to win their first ever Champions League trophy. Can Chelsea stop them? We'll find out soon!
Chelsea, on the other hand, is coming into this game with the 'underdog' tag, which could favor them. The Blues defeated Flumenese 3-1 in the semifinals on Tuesday to book a date with PSG in the finals. Enzo Maresca's side will fight to pull off an upset and become the first English club to win two Club World Cups. They hoisted the trophy in 2021 after beating Brazilian side Palmeiras. They certainly have work to do in this matchup.

Chelsea - PSG: Form Analysis
PSG is the most in-form team right now, and it will take a lot of effort from the Londoners to stop them. The Frenchmen beautifully navigate their tough draw, including a clash with Spanish giants Real Madrid. Impressively, they swept aside Madrid 4-0 to ensure they haven't tasted defeat in the last four games. Even more scary is that they haven't conceded a goal in those wins. They are the team to beat in the finals.
Chelsea, meanwhile, has had a kinder schedule in this tournament. Unlike PSG, who have battled against the two Madrid giants and Bayern Munich, the Blues have only faced one European side, Benfica. Their attackers have been exceptional in this tournament, scoring 14 goals. However, Maresca will be more worried about his defence, which has let in five opponent goals. Still, their 2-0 win over Flumenes should reassure them they can do better against PSG.

Luis Enrique's PSG should have a fully fit squad for this crunch matchup. Ballon D'Or favorite Ousmane Dembele managed to shake off an injury that limited him to two substitute appearances in the first two matches to go on a fine scoring run. He should lead the attack again on Sunday after scoring two goals in the last two games. This season, he has scored 34 times in 55 assignments for club and country. However, PSG will be without the defensive duo of Lucas Hernandez and William Pacho, who are on suspension.
There is big news for Chelsea fans: Hardworking defensive midfielder Moises Caicedo will feature after shaking off an ankle injury. However, Maresca could miss the services of some key names in his expensive squad. Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo could sit out of this encounter with injuries. New signings Estevao and Jamie Baynoe-Gittens are ineligible to participate, whereas Noni Madueke, who looks likely to join London rivals Arsenal, may not be selected.
