The Texas Rangers will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight when they face the Baltimore Orioles in Game Two of a three-game series. First Pitch for this AL East-AL West matchup is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. EST at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX.
Yesterday’s game ended in a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation, forcing the contest into extra innings. Baltimore tacked on three with a pair of home runs in the tenth, but then the Rangers hit a three-run shot to tie the game up 6-6 heading into the 11th. An offensive burst put the Orioles up 10-6 in the 11th, but this time, Texas couldn’t answer. The victory made it two in a row for Baltimore, but they’ll have a hard time making it three in a row. Their starter, Brandon Young, is 0-2 in three starts with a 7.11 ERA and 1.97 WHIP. He’ll be facing off with Jacob deGrom, who is 8-2 in 16 starts with a 2.08 ERA and .88 WHIP (4-2 at home in nine starts with a 1.83 ERA and .203 OBA). Baltimore’s lineup is hitting .083 in 36 at-bats vs. deGrom.
