The Miami Marlins will try to stay on the right side of the scoreboard today when they take on the Atlanta Braves in the second game of a three-game series at loanDepot park. Fans can follow the action once the game gets underway at 6:40 p.m. EST. Monday’s game saw both pitchers turn in solid performances, with both going seven innings; Cabrera gave up one hit, no runs, and struck out ten, while Strider allowed three hits and a run to score. Miami had a 2-0 lead heading into the ninth. Atlanta was able to tack on one run to make the final 2-1.
Hurston Waldrep will start the day on the mound for the Braves. The young righty has gone 4-0 since getting called up with a .73 ERA, .77 WHIP, and .159 OBA. He has gone 2-o in two appearances (one start) with a .77 ERA and .128 OBA. Waldrep faced the Marlins before (Aug. 9), going six innings while giving up four hits and one earned run.
