Utah Mammoth vs Anaheim Ducks Prediction & Picks - NHL

The Anaheim Ducks (16-9-1) will host the Utah Mammoth (12-12-3) on Wednesday night. This will be a rematch of their meeting last month, in which the Ducks took the 3-2 victory. After a sole goal by the Ducks in the 1st was matched by a sole goal in the 2nd by the Mammoth, they each put one in the net in the 3rd to head into overtime tied a 2-2. It took just under 2 minutes for Olen Zellweger to score the game-winning goal.

Utah has been struggling ever since that last meeting. They are just 2-6 in their last 8 games that followed their previous meeting with the Ducks. Their current losing streak was extended to 4 games after losing on Monday night to the Sharks 6-3. The Mammoth have been terrible on the power play all season and need to get things turned around there if they want to get back above .500 on the season. They are scoring at just a 13.2% clip on the power play, dead last in the league.

Anaheim has been up and down since their last meeting with the Mammoth. They have simply traded wins for losses over their last 7 games for a 4-3 mark. They are coming off an impressive 4-1 victory over the Blues on Monday evening. Ville Husso stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced while both Pavel Mintyukov and Leo Carlsson scored a goal and picked up an assist each in the win.
