After a 3-2 victory at home for the Boston Bruins (15-12-0) over the Detroit Red Wings (13-11-2), they will once again face each other in their next game on Tuesday evening.
The Bruins faded as the month of November went on. After starting 5-0, they ended up just 9-5 on the month. They will look to start December the same way they ended November, with a win over the Red Wings. Morgan Geekie scored 2 of the 3 Bruins goals, while Jeremy Swayman stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced.
Detroit will look to exact some revenge on the Bruins now that they will be back on their home ice. For the Red Wings, the latter part of the month was even worse for them than Boston. They finished on a 4-game losing streak that could extend here into December. During the losing streak, they allowed a total of 19 goals, which is the main reason for their poor outcomes lately. Both John Gibson and Cam Tolbot allowed 6 goals in a game during this stretch.
The net-minding will need to better here at home if Detroit plans on not getting swept in this short 2-game series against Boston.
