The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will try to end their three-game slide when they host the Arizona Cardinals at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST, and the game will be broadcast on Fox.
A few weeks ago, the Buccaneers appeared to be in complete control of the NFC South, but fast forward three weeks—and three losses – and they are fighting to stay on top with the Carolina Panthers nipping at their heels. This harsh reality may have something to do with Baker Mayfield playing despite leaving the game last week with a shoulder injury. Arizona’s defense is ranked 22nd in the league in sacks with 22; Tampa Bay’s offensive line has given up 24 this season. As for the Cardinals, Arizona‘s passing game has thrived with Jacoby Brissett behind center, averaging over 300 yards a game in the last six. However, with the run game struggling to gain traction (they have not had a 100-yard rusher this season), the passing game has kept them competitive. But despite Brissett’s big numbers, the Cardinals are 1-5 in those games. Why? Because the defense can’t stop anyone (No. 19 in total yards; No. 25 in scoring).

Our Arizona Cardinals vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction
Tampa Bay is the better overall team between the two, but I’m a bit concerned about whether Mayfield will be physical enough to make the plays the Bucs will need to in order to win this game. He's the kind of warrior who will want to play no matter what, and after what we saw last week from Teddy Bridgewater, they'll let him go if he says he can play. Brissett is going to throw for some serious yards on the Bucs' leaky pass defense. So, can we trust the Bucs to win? I think so, but I am not confident they’ll cover.
