The Monegasques will march into Stade Louis II on Tuesday night, when Monaco face off against Galatasaray in a mouth-watering Matchday 6 clash in the Champions League. The Red and Whites are 23rd in the League Phase standings, while Cimbom are 14th after five games. Check out our match prediction below!
Monaco have only lost one match in the UCL this season, but having earned three draws from their other four games (W1), they are teetering on the edge of the knockout round qualification cutoff. However, the hosts do have a good record against Turkish opposition, winning four of their last five such encounters, while scoring 3+ goals in each of those victories.
Galatasaray will be looking to bounce back from a defeat on MD5, which saw them slip to 14th place in the UCL standings. The Lions’ record against French opposition is not the greatest, though, having only won two of their last 11 away games in Europe against teams from L’Hexagone. Let’s get into the key stats!

Monaco - Galatasaray: Form Analysis
After stunning Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 at the end of last month, Monaco suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brest this past weekend, marking their fourth loss in five in the French top flight.
Indeed, maintaining consistency has been an issue for the Red and Whites domestically this term, but they are unbeaten in four in the UCL (W1 D3), following a 2-2 draw against Pafos on MD5.
The hosts have drawn both their home games in this competition this season, and have only lost four of their last 16 matches in UEFA competitions at Stade Louis II (W7 D5).
Monaco have kept three clean sheets in their last five home matches in all competitions!
Meanwhile, Galatasaray dropped out of the coveted top eight in the Champions League standings last time out when their three-match win streak was brought to an end by Union Saint-Gilloise 1-0.
However, the Yellow and Reds extended their lead atop the Turkish Super Lig standings to three points at the weekend with a dramatic last-minute winner from Victor Osimhen against Samsunspor.
The visitors have won one and lost one of their two away games in Europe this season, but they’ve only suffered defeat in two of their last 16 matches on the road across all competitions (W13 D1).

Monaco & Galatasaray Squad Analysis
Ahead of the defeat to Brest, Sebastian Pocognoli revealed that Barca loanee Ansu Fati had sustained a hamstring injury in training and is expected to be out of action for at least a few weeks.
The 23-year-old will be joined on the sidelines this week by fellow injury absentees Christian Mawissa, Eric Dier, and George Ilenikhena. Folarin Balogun is listed as a doubt due to a knock.
Takumi Minamino had a disappointing outing on Friday night, but he has scored in two of his last three appearances, including the winner against PSG and the opening goal against Pafos on MD5.
Victor Osimhen has scored six goals in three UCL appearances this season!
Osimhen was sidelined for Gala against Union SG on MD5, but he bagged a brace at the weekend and will be champing at the bit to add to his excellent record in Europe this week.
After netting a hat-trick against Ajax, the Nigerian international has now scored in each of his last eight UEFA club competition appearances. He has recorded 12 goals during this run.
Wilfried Singo will not be able to face his former employers this week due to a muscle injury. Ismail Jakobs is also sidelined, while Arda Unyay is suspended following his sending off on MD5.

Our Monaco vs Galatasaray Prediction
While Monaco have only suffered one defeat in the Champions League this season, they were poor against Brest at the weekend, and their inconsistency this term makes it difficult to back them with any real confidence
Galatasaray reeled off three impressive wins in the UCL before getting stopped on MD5, but they were without Victor Osimhen that day. With their talisman back for this one, we feel the visitors will be able to take something from this match. Our Monaco vs Galatasaray prediction is a draw or Galatasaray.
