The first stage of the 2025 Giro d'Italia after the second of the three rest days is a 28.6km time trial. Already the second of those in the Giro and with almost no hills to negotiate, it is a stage where it should go to form. Let's find a prediction for Stage 10.

The first Time Trial at the Giro was won by Joshua Tarling. He is without a question the top time triallist in this field and the most likely winner of the stage. His price is short enough but it reflects his level against his peers.

The two main contenders for overall glory at the Giro are Primoz Roglic and Juan Ayuso. Both of them are very solid in a time trial and this is a great opportunity to take a few seconds off one another. After Roglic's crash on Stage 9, it will be interesting to see how he can respond.

Jay Vine was third in the opening time trial behind Tarling and Roglic. He has to be a solid each way angle again as is Wout van Aert providing he has not taken too much out of himself in his Stage 9 win.

We put up Brandon McNulty as our prediction in the opening time trial where he finished eighth. He is capable of better if he can find his form again.

Giro - Stage 10 - Giro d'Italia prediction key points

An individual time trial of almost 30km will require sheer speed on an almost flat course.
Joshua Tarling already has one ITT win at this Giro.
The only riders ranked higher than Tarling in the World Time Trial rankings are not riding in the Giro.
At just 21 years of age, Tarling should have better still to come in his career, with most cyclists peaking mid-20s to early 30s.

Although he is a short price, it is very difficult to take on Joshua Tarling in the time trial of Stage 10. He is the best in this discipline in the peloton and he will be very disappointed in himself if he does not pick up his second stage win of the Giro.
