Turkish giants Galatasaray were thrashed in their two legged Champions League matches by PSV and will be hoping for a break in the Europa League. They are set to host Scottish side St. Johnstone in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie. Galatasaray go into the game on the back of a 7-2 aggregate loss to PSV and it is their defence they will worry more about, having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven matches. In the last three matches, they’ve conceded two or more goals, but they have a great scoring run at the same time. They have managed to score in each of their last 13 matches and in the last eight alone, they’ve scored two or more goals in seven. That is the one good thing they will want to carry to this game.

St. Johnstone opened the new campaign with a 0-0 draw when playing away to Ross County in the Premiership. They haven’t lost any of their last seven matches but five of them have ended in draws, and just two wins. In those seven matches, they have five clean sheets and while they have shown some good signs defensively, they haven’t been very consistent in attack. St. Johnstone have failed to score in five of their last eight matches and in only two of their last 10 have they managed to score more than a goal. In three of their last four away matches, St. Johnstone have failed to score, but in the one that they did, they slammed four past Arboath in a 4-1 friendly win.
