Aston Villa may be in the relegation zone but the 18th placed side can draw level on points with Brighton if winning this game. Their opponents are 14th in the table but they are in relegation trouble and need to get some wins and soon. Brighton have only won one of their last seven league matches and that was against Bournemouth, who everyone seems to beat at the moment. They also got knocked out of the FA Cup by Championshp side Sheffield Wednesday. Home form had been good with a run of three straight league victories but that win over Bournemouth is their only win in the last five at home. Points at home are needed sooner rather than later because of their last five league games at the Amex, four are against Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Their opponents were hammered 6-1 by Manchester City last weekend but should find this a bit easier. They are 18th in the table and a point from safety going into the weekend and of their last four league games, two have been won and two lost. Away form isn't great and the recent win at Burnley was only their second win since returning to the Premier League. Only Norwich City have a worse away league record than Villa with more goals conceded than any other side. A bet on over 2.5 goals is the tip here.
